Thomas is responsible for conceptualizing and creating websites and other digital collateral. He also writes and edits copy for use across American Ancestors' digital platforms, and assists in digital communications strategy. He has been part of the digital communications team since 2017, having originally come to American Ancestors/NEHGS as an intern and freelance writer.
Thomas has experience in copywriting, web design, and digital marketing. He previously worked as a social media manager for Sensitech, a cold chain technology company based in Beverly, MA. He holds a B.A. in English from Brandeis University, with a concentration in creative writing.
Originally from Massachusetts, Thomas lives in the St Louis area with his unconventional family. He is interested in genealogy as a tool to understand how ordinary people lived in the past, and as a way to contextualize the complex history of America. He is fascinated by 19th and 20th century history, fiction and the history of folklore, fiber arts, cats, interesting clouds, good music, and bad musical theater.
