Drew graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.A. in History. Before American Ancestors, he was an intern at the Danbury (Connecticut) Museum & Historical Society, and most recently, a volunteer archivist at the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion & Museum in Norwalk, Connecticut.
