There’s nothing quite as special as family recipes passed down through generations. Family cookbooks and recipe cards not only provide a taste of the past, but they can also tell you about the period in which an ancestor lived and breathe life into your family history research. This session will look at several examples of family recipes held in the R. Stanton Avery Special Collections at American Ancestors. We will also provide tips on finding examples at other repositories and archives and offer suggestions on what to do with such items in your personal collection.
