Do you have photos hidden away in your computer files or on your phone? Make them easily viewable and shareable by compiling them into a video slide show! In this interactive workshop, we will provide an overview of how to create a photo slideshow and demonstrate simple editing techniques with examples. You will learn about free software options, arranging photos, adding music, exporting and sharing your video, and more. You’ll walk away with the skills to create your own photo slideshows to celebrate family birthdays, anniversaries, or to simply enjoy the photos in your collection.

Then, you have the option to put what you’ve learned into practice by creating your own slideshow with support from our staff! If you would like to stay and work on your own slideshow, please bring:

  • A laptop for creating your slideshow
  • A software program that can create slideshows (Microsoft Clip Champ, Apple Photos, Openshot, etc.)
  • Photos easily accessible digitally on a thumb drive, computer folder, etc.
  • Optional: a song file (see our preparation guide for song purchasing options)
  • Notebook and pen/pencil for notetaking
