Ellie graduated from Northeastern University with a B.A. in History and a M.A. in Public History. Prior to joining American Ancestors, she worked with the National Parks of Boston, where she conducted research for digital public history projects. Some of her previous research work included uncovering the lives of immigrant workers in the Charlestown Navy Yard, abolitionists, and those involved in the Underground Railroad in Boston.

Learning from her grandmother, Ellie enjoys researching her own family roots which expand to Maine, New Jersey, Scotland, England, and Poland.
