Newbury Street Press, NEHGS’s book publishing imprint, is America’s premier publisher of privately sponsored family histories. Established in 1996, Newbury Street Press produces high-quality volumes that fulfill the Society’s mission to document and make accessible the histories of families in America. These important works contain information of enduring value, and they organize and preserve data that might otherwise be lost to posterity.

We are proud to publish works by respected scholars in the field, and we are equally pleased to publish books by first-time authors. We have expert staff to assist both new and experienced authors. Books that bear the Newbury Street Press imprint must meet the Society’s high standards.

We ensure that the best materials and methods are used to print our books, knowing that they will stand on library shelves and be studied by many readers for years to come. Our books are sturdy hardcovers printed on acid-free paper. Many include family photos and other important historic images.
