Director of Business Intelligence
Sarah leads the Member Services team in growing the NEHGS constituency and oversees daily operations for membership processing, reporting, and stewardship. Sarah joined the NEHGS staff in 2012 and as has led the Member Services team since August 2015. Sarah previously worked in development at Longyear Museum in Chestnut Hill, Mass., managing operations, gift processing, reporting, and donor communications. She holds a BA in History from Northeastern University in Boston.

Manager of Member Services
Kathleen graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a BA in History, and also studied abroad at the University of East Anglia in England. Kathleen has a strong interest in historical and non-profit organizations. She gained experience in the nonprofit field while interning at Historic Northampton and the Skinner Museum of Mount Holyoke College, as well as working as a sales representative at Boston Ballet. Having recently moved to Boston, Kathleen enjoys attending theater performances in the city and exploring Boston’s many historic sites and museums.

Lena earned her BA in English Literature from the University of Chicago in 2014, and spent a year after graduation in France teaching English to high school students. Before joining the NEHGS team, she lead educational tours at the Smart Museum of Art in Chicago and worked in Member and Visitor Services at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. She loves learning about visual art, history, and languages at museums and cultural institutions around the city and abroad.

Member Services Associate
Mary earned her BA in History from the University of Alabama. She spent a semester studying at Freie Universitӓt in Berlin Germany to further pursue her studies of Cold War history. She also has a strong interest in the history of the Southern United States. Mary has previous experience interning for the Houston Museum of Natural Science and the Arts Council of Baton Rouge. Originally from Louisiana, Mary moved to Boston to further her interest in museums and other cultural institutions.

Member Services Associate
Kyle earned his BA from Providence College in 2014, where he majored in History and American Studies. He later earned his MA in History from the University of Rhode Island in 2017, where he also worked as a Teaching Assistant for the History Department for two years. He previously tutored high school and college students and assisted them with many subjects, including history. Kyle has always had a strong interest in American history, and is happy to work in an area with so many historic sites and institutions.

Visitor Services Representative
Originally from New Hampshire, Valerie E. Beaudrault joined the visitor services staff in 2002. In addition to visitor services, she assists in editing NEHGS eNews and in historical and genealogical research related to objects in the Society's object collection. She has a BA from the University of Massachusetts/Boston and an EdM from Boston University. Valerie’s genealogical research pursuits have focused on her family in New England, upstate New York and Quebec. Areas of specialty: New Hampshire, Upstate New York, Quebec with a focus on the Eastern Townships, newspaper research, some southern African American research (Liberty County, Georgia.)
