Kathleen Mackenzie

Kathleen Mackenzie

Kathleen leads the Member Services team in growing the NEHGS constituency and oversees daily operations for membership communications, gift processing, and reporting. Kathleen joined the NEHGS staff in 2014 and has led the Member Services team since February 2018. Kathleen previously worked at Boston Ballet, and interned at Historic Northampton and the Skinner museum of Mount Holyoke. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a BA in History, and is currently earning her Master’s in Library and Information Science from Simmons College.

Kyle Lindsay
Member Services Associate
“Kyle

Kyle earned his BA from Providence College in 2014, where he majored in History and American Studies. He later earned his MA in History from the University of Rhode Island in 2017, where he also worked as a Teaching Assistant for the History Department for two years. He previously tutored high school and college students and assisted them with many subjects, including history. Kyle has always had a strong interest in American history, and is happy to work in an area with so many historic sites and institutions.

Allison Kaminsky
Member Services Associate
“Allison Kaminsky

Allison earned a B.A. in international studies and theatre from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL in 2017. Prior to joining the NEHGS team, she interned in the U.S. Senate and the National Parks Service’s education department. While at Northwestern, she worked on the Take A Stand Center at the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center. Allison enjoys learning about American and world history, and looks forward to visiting Boston’s many museums, historic sites, and cultural institutions.

Valerie Beaudrault
Visitor Services Representative
Valerie Beaudrault

Originally from New Hampshire, Valerie E. Beaudrault joined the visitor services staff in 2002. In addition to visitor services, she assists in editing NEHGS eNews and in historical and genealogical research related to objects in the Society's object collection. She has a BA from the University of Massachusetts/Boston and an EdM from Boston University. Valerie’s genealogical research pursuits have focused on her family in New England, upstate New York and Quebec. Areas of specialty: New Hampshire, Upstate New York, Quebec with a focus on the Eastern Townships, newspaper research, some southern African American research (Liberty County, Georgia.)

Maria Kuntz
Visitor Services Representative
Maria Kuntz

Although Maria grew up in England, she eventually moved to Boston where she has an extensive New England family. She graduated with a degree from the New England School of Art & Design at Suffolk University and after working for a few years in publishing, she changed her professional career to managing the front office of a finance firm in Wellesley. During this time, Maria was an active volunteer for the Wellesley Historical Society. She is passionate about art and an avid history reader.

Lora DeSalvo
Visitor Services Representative
Lora DeSalvo

A Massachusetts native, Lora is a former high school history teacher. Prior to teaching, she worked in the visitor services and education departments of several New England house museums. She has a BA from Boston University and an MA in American Studies from Boston College. Lora’s research pursuits have focused on social history including American tourism in the 1800s, the effects of New Deal art programs and everyday life in pre-Revolutionary Boston.
