Society Announcements
Temporary, part-time help needed in Sales
The NEHGS Sales Department is looking for a part-time sales assistant to work from the beginning of November until the beginning of January. This is a paid position. The assistant must be able to work approximately 15-20 hours a week. The job will be based at the Society’s North Washington Street location, near North Station in Boston. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. The sales assistant will take orders over the telephone, provide customer service, and assemble orders for shipment. (Packing and shipping the orders is not part of the job.) If interested, please contact Lynn Betlock at sales@nehgs.org for more details.
Complete, Bound set of the Register for Sale
A member has written to say she wants to sell her complete bound set of the Register, Volumes 1 through 148, plus index to first 50 volumes, and is willing to let it go for $1800., which, our staff concurs, is an absolute steal. This set is in the original bindings and in fine shape. Buyer to pay shipping charges from Florida. Interested parties should contact the Register offices via email (no phone calls, please) at publications@nehgs.org.
Thanksgiving Hours and More
We are open Wednesday, November 22 until 3PM. The Society is closed Thursday, November 23 for Thanksgiving, but is OPEN on Friday, November 24 and Saturday, November 25. Please see the "Hours of Operation" link on the home page of NewEnglandAncestors.org for 2000-2001 opening / closing information, including our closing for Inventory Week, which starts in late December.
