New England Ancestors Magazine Update
The first issue of New England Ancestors has elicited an overwhelmingly positive response from the NEHGS membership. The editors would like to take this opportunity to thank the scores of members who have written and called with congratulatory messages!
Readers were especially enthusiastic about the magazine’s graphic design and liked the new columns, most especially “Pilgrim Life” and “The Computer Genealogist.”
The spring issue is being printed currently and should be received by most members in about 5 weeks. Its features include “Gravestone Carvers of Newport, RI,” “Researching French-Canadian Ancestors,” “A Research Visit to the Connecticut State Library,” “Using Maine Archives,” and other regular columns, such as “Pilgrim Life” by Jeremy Bangs, “Great Migration Diary” by Melinde Lutz Sanborn, and “Notable Kin” by Gary Boyd Roberts.
