    Appreciated Securities
One of the smartest giving options is transferring stock to NEHGS. In most cases, donors can claim full present value as a tax-deduction while avoiding capital gain tax. Some donors use their tax savings to buy more securities (now with current cost basis) to add to their portfolio. To make a gift of this type please contact Ted MacMahon, Director of Development (tmacmahon@nehgs.org, 617-226-1218), or Steven L. Solomon, Manager of Gift Planning (ssolomon@nehgs.org, 617-226-1238).

    Pledges
Making a pledge to NEHGS allows you to make a larger gift over time. Please contact Ted MacMahon, Director of Development (tmacmahon@nehgs.org, 617-226-1218), or Steven L. Solomon, Manager of Gift Planning (ssolomon@nehgs.org, 617-226-1238).

    Matching Gifts
You may be able to double your gift through a matching gift program available through your former or current employer. Contact your Human Resource Department to check for eligibility.

    Planned Gifts
For gifts that fit into overall financial planning, including gifts that can increase your income.

NEHGS is a tax exempt 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization (tax ID #04-2104757) and gifts are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
