  • Pilgrim Village Families Sketch: William Trevor

    Robert Charles Anderson

Birth: William Trevor was most likely born in England.

Death: He died sometime after April 1650.

    Ship: Mayflower, 1620

Life in England: There is nothing definitely known of his life in England, although he was a sailor by 1619.

Life in New England: According to a 1650 deposition, in the year 1619 William Trevor was in the “Company’s service,” probably the New England Company, a group which oversaw English colonizing ventures in New England, in the year 1619. He returned the next year, having been hired to come over with the Plymouth colonists and stay for the first year. He returned to England afterwards. He apparently was in Charlestown in 1650, when he made a deposition there.

Family: There is no information on any family members.
