    Birth:  Francis Weston was born by 1611, based on his inclusion in the Plymouth 1633 list of freemen.

    Death:  He died on June 5, 1645.

    Life in England:  Nothing is known of his life in England.

    Life in New England:  Francis Weston was in Plymouth only a short time before he moved to Salem. He became a freeman of Salem on November 5, 1633. He was a proprietor of Providence, Rhode Island, in 1638, and removed to Warwick, Rhode Island, in 1642.Weston was a follower of religious radical Samuel Gorton, and in 1643 was held in Dorchester,“to be set on work, & wear such bolts or irons as may hinder his escape.”

    Family:  Francis Weston married Margaret _____ on an unknown date.There were no recorded children. Her fate after Weston’s death is unclear.
