THE TOWN OF MEDFORD was established September 28, 1630, from common land.April 19, 1754, a part of Charlestown was annexed to Medford.June  21, 1811, a part of Medford was annexed to Charlestown.June  10, 1817, a part of Maiden was annexed to Medford.The  town of Medford was incorporated as a city in 1892.
