  • In Search of Livelihoods: Researching Occupations in Early New England

    When: Saturday, October 25, 2014 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Where: 99-101 Newbury St, Boston MA

    Description:

Many family history researchers spend years searching for the births, marriages, and deaths of ancestors, but the details of our forebears’ daily lives can often elude us. How did early New Englanders spend their days? What work did they do to survive? What evidence is left for us to trace their stories? Join NEHGS Chief Genealogist David Allen Lambert for a lecture on early New England occupations and learn strategies for learning more about survival in 17th-century New England. The event is cosponsored by The Partnership of the Historic Bostons, Inc. as part of the 2014 Charter Day celebration.

This event is free and open to the public. Call 617-226-1226 or email education@nehgs.org to reserve a space.
