Each year NEHGS offers a wide range of educational programs for all family history researchers, including guided tours to major genealogical repositories, lectures from the world’s leading genealogists, and seminars exploring a variety of topics related to family history for all skill levels.
For over thirty years researchers have learned with NEHGS during Come Home to New England, a week-long workshop offering lectures, guided research, and one-on-one consultations, as well as research tours to Salt Lake City, the British Isles, and other destinations. Popular programs also include Weekend Research Getaways and lectures on topics such as using technology, writing and publishing your research, organizing, and using DNA in your genealogical research. In addition to expertise in New England and general U.S. research, NEHGS staff can offer valuable information on African American, Native American, Jewish, Italian, Irish, Canadian, and German genealogy as well as a variety of other areas.
Family history research is an ever-changing field. Let NEHGS experts share their knowledge with you and help you discover your family stories. Check the calendar for a listing of all programs.
