Looking for information on the birth and death of John Henry Stuart born abt 1833 in New Brunswick.  He married Sarah Rebecca Carpenter 25 Dec 1854 in St. John, New Brunswick.  He is last found in the 1871 Canada Census in Halifax, Nova Scotia with occupation "reporter".  Various sources list him as as a reporter, printer or editor.  He died between 1873 (based upon birth of last child) and before 1890.  He does not appear in the 1881 census even though Sarah does and is listed as "married".  In 1891 census she is listed as "widowed".  Also, the death notice for his eldest child in Jan 1890 refers to her "late" father.

He most likely died and was buried in Halifax or Dartmouth.  Although, I have yet to find her grave, Sarah Rebecca (Carpenter) Stuart's Massachusetts death certificate (died: 8 Jun 1910 in Malden, MA) states that she was buried in Dartmouth.  From that I hypothesize that he is buried there too.  They are listed in the census records as belonging to the Church of England.

One other piece of information.  From Daniel F. Johnson's New Brunswick Newspaper Vital Statistics...

"J.H. STUART, formerly of (St. John) City, an attache of the Halifax 'Chronicle' fell on the street in Halifax, N.S. the other day and broke his arm." (4 Feb 1867)
