I am looking for English origins and genealogies of Col. Edmund Reade, on the Barbados Council during the 1630s and proprietor of the Carolinas in the 1660s. Are there any connections to Edmund Reade of Wickford, Essex, father-in-law to Connecticut Gov. John Winthrop Jr.?
