I've been searching for my GGM, Jennie Davis. According to her PA death certificate she was born in 1848 in Syon, MA, father listed as John, mother not listed. As far as I can determine, there is no Syon in MA. And I can find no birth record for a Jennie Davis in 1848. According to later census records (PA) after she married my GGF her father, John, was born in Scotland or England and her mother was born in Maine.
The 1850 Boston, Suffolk County census lists a John (b. Scotland) & a Jane (b Maine) Davis. Daughter's name is Eliza J. Would Jennie be a nickname for Eliza J(ane)?
Any help would be appreciated.
