My great grandparents left Ireland to work in Ashton-Under-Lyne, Lancashire, England. After a few years he tried to leave England for the U.S. but the ship he was on sank. This happened between 1865 and 1870. They did finally leave in 1871. Where can I look for ships leaving England that sank?
