I am looking for any information on Jacob Winn. He was born in 1832 in Stanstead, Quebec, Canada. He immigrated in 1849 to the US and married Mary E. Hull in Tuftonboro, NH. I do not know anything about his time in Canada or the names of his parents or siblings. This is not the same Jacob Winn from Ontario although I do suspect some sort of connection because they both named a son Ai. Any thoughts on this subject would be welcomed.

Ancestry.com has a marriage record from Stanstead in 1842. Jacob Winn married M.A.Dickerson. Your guy would have been 10 - too young to marry, but this is likely a relative? I'm looking for information on Stanstead, too, specifically for Joel Abbot and Sybil Searles, and haven't found much.
