My ancestor Aaron Yerks was born in "The Jerseys" in 1753 and he died in Montgomery, Orange County NY in 1789. His children were Aaron, Nicholas, Mary and Catharine. I have been unable to locate details about Yerks Yerkes Yourkes Jourkes Jourckse Jurckes Jurckse families that were in NJ during the 1750's. I am looking for any information about Yerks families in this area during this time.

Beyond suggesting a thorough search of the NY Biographical Record, and a thorough walk through the early published New York records at the Society for all those name spelling variants, both the state volumes and the various church records, I'm at a loss as what to suggest you do next.
Are you near the Society or NYC itself, or Albany?
