One of my great-uncles died in Toronto between 1934 and 1936, and, according to family oral history, is buried there, but I have been unable to find any death or burial records. His name was Jozef Hajducko, and he had gone there from Lackovce, Slovakia, in 1933. Any suggestions on places to search for his records would be most appreciated!

Here is a link for Canadian immigration records 1925-35. Perhaps you can find some help there.

Thanks for the tip, but I couldn't find any reference to my ancestor in the records there.

Have you looked for obituaries?

Yes, I have searched obituaries using resources from Cyndislist, but have had no success.

Andrea, you should try contacting the Toronto Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society, who hold records for many cemetery records. They charge a small fee to send a record, but will search the database for no charge, I believe.
