I'm looking for the parents of my ancestors Michael Carey (or Cary) and Abigail Young, who were married in Newbury, MA, in 1785. Michael had several children between 1769 and 1780 with a woman named Mary, but I cannot find a marriage record for them. Complicating the issue is that there are two Abigail Youngs, one of whom married in 1784 and had several children with her husband, and she also was married in Newbury.

Hi Andrea,
Have you researched the probate and deed records of Essex County for this time period? Often family relationships are revealed in these records.
