  • The family records of James and his brother John Bowes of Lisdowney, County Kilkenny. James Bowes and Catherine Riely, married in Boston on 3 Feb 1841 by Rev. Mr. Hardy at Holy Cross Church, Boston, Mass. His brother John Bowes married Hannah Grace on February 8, 1850 by Rev. Kane at St. Bridget’s Church, New York [City] The brothers resided in Boston and John Bowes and his family eventually moved to Canton, Massachusetts.
