<p><br />Benjamin Carp is associate professor of history at Tufts University specializing in colonial, revolutionary, and early American History. He is the author of the 2007 publication, <em>Rebels Rising: Cities in the American Revolution</em>. Currently, Professor Carp is author of "Defiance of the Patriots" which looks at the global and local history of the Boston Tea Party, as well as its uncertain legacy. Professor Carp was a guest speaker at NEHGS in February 2011 and sat down with Thomas R. Wilcox, Jr., NEHGS COO for a few minutes before his talk.</p>
