The Weekly Genealogist Survey
Last week's survey asked the least number of generations you have successfully traced in an ancestral line. 3,639 people answered the survey. The results are:

1%, One (you)
1%, Two (you and a parent)
10%, Three (you, a parent, and a grandparent)
34%, Four
30%, Five
11%, Six
3%, Seven
2%, Eight
1%, Nine
5%, Ten or higher
2%, I don't know.

This week's survey asks if you've found information on your ancestors as a result of two NEHGS initiatives, The Great Migration Study Project, which aims to treat all immigrants to New England from 1620 to 1640, and the Early New England Families, 1641-1700, Study Project, which focuses on individuals who immigrated in 1641 or later. Take the survey now!

Would like to suggest a question for the Weekly Genealogist regarding Native American or Canadian First Nation ancestry: 1. are an enrolled member; 2. have documented Native American or First Nation ancestry but not an enrolled member; 3. have family tradition of Native American ancestry but not documented; 4. none, don't know, or not sure.
