In advance of the seventieth anniversary of the
November 28, 1942 fire at Boston’s Cocoanut Grove nightclub which killed 492 people, the Boston Police Department has recently released transcripts of interviews with survivors. The Boston Public Library has digitized transcripts of 148 interviews conducted from November 29 to December 11, 1942. They are available at
