Question:  With Halloween this week I would like to know what only sources you can direct me to.  I am trying to explain to my twelve year old daughter about her unfortunate ancestor Rebecca Nurse who was hanged at Salem in 1692.  I thought to take a moment on Halloween to reflect on her ancestor, when many people think of candy I want her to learn a little about her relative.

Answer: I would highly recommend visiting the website - Salem Witch Trial, Documentary Archive and Transcription Project   They have many of the documents connected with Rebecca Nurse's trial, as well as the proceeding for the other victims and accused persons.  I would also suggest taking your daughter to the Rebecca Nurse homestead in Danvers.  This 17th century home is still standing is a wonderful way to experience the life of Rebecca first hand -
