An interesting article from the BBC news magazine about Americanisms entering the English language. It resulted in so much response from their readers that a week later 50 examples from readers were published by the magazine in a companion piece.

I loved this article about English incorporating American language. I've been telling people for years that in America, we speak lots of different languages, but English isn't one of them. The USA's language is American, not English, but I continually hear people speak of it as that. People need to wake up, take notice that we are not English in any form, and be proud of our American-ism.
