Largest Conference in NERGC's History

Attend the premiere of a special documentary short feature film on American genealogy and NEHGS on the evening of Friday, April 29, 2011 at the Society’s Annual Dinner at the Four Seasons, Boston. Register today! “A Farseeing Vision: Connecting Families, Advancing History,” produced by Atlantic Media, features today’s most important leaders in genealogy and history, including Ancestry.com CEO Tim Sullivan, David Rencher of FamilySearch International, Pulitzer-Prize winning historian David Hackett Fischer, CNBC anchor and author Bill Griffeth, Great Migration scholar Robert Charles Anderson, and Maureen Taylor, the Photo Detective. Others appearing from NEHGS include Brenton Simons, Eric Schultz, Susan Sloan, Ryan Woods and Ralph J. Crandall. This short documentary traces the origins of genealogy from the founding of NEHGS in 1845 to the blossoming of the field and the Society today. A must-see film for all genealogists, it will premiere at the benefit dinner honoring noted film maker and NEHGS member Ken Burns, who will also show a brief retrospective of his acclaimed films, past and present.
