A-396 - CURTIS/BRYANT - Indirect evidence suggests that Zerviah CURTIS
“of Pembrook,” m. Plympton, Mass. 8 Nov. 1733 Dea. Nathaniel BRYANT (Plympton
VRs, p. 272), was a dau. of Benjamin2 CURTIS (b. Plymouth, Mass., 11
Aug. 1675, d. Plympton 6 Sept. 1727: m. Sandwich, Mass. 23 Dec. 1700 Mary
BESSE), and granddau. of Francis1 & Hannah (SMITH) CURTIS.
Benjamin3 CURTIS, eld. son of Benjamin & Mary, was to pay £27 6s
6d to his sister “Zerviah CURTICE” & six other siblings (28 July 1733;
Plymouth Co. probate file #5351). No other contemporaneous Zerviah CURTIS is
found in Pembroke; Zerviah & Nathaniel used CURTIS given names for two of
their ch. Zerviah CURTIS was at least 21 by 13 July 1733 (Plymouth Co. probate
file #5440). Zerviah (CURTIS) BRYANT d. 21 April 1790, ae. 83 yrs., 3 mos.
(MD 9:118; Plympton VRs, p. 455). On 1 Sept. 1756 Nathaniel BRYANT was
joint administrator of the est. of Benjamin3 CURTIS (Plymouth Co.
probate file #5366) and wit. bond of Judah WOOD. est. administrator for Timothy,
husband of Mary (CURTIS) WOOD. Zerviah’s sister (Plymouth Co. probate file
